Discover the "MASLA DOODH", this energy drink served in India!



 Indian cuisine is renowned for being one of the best in the world, not only for flavorful recipes, but also for exquisite drinks. As a result, one of the most popular drinks in India is the "Masla Doodh", a delicious, energizing beverage with lots of health benefits.

 

Indians love the Masla Doodh, as well as drinking it regularly as part of their daily diet, this drink is also served at major ceremonies and festivities taking place in the region. It is a concoction of milk, mixed with other spices and nuts to give an extremely nutritional drink.

   

The main ingredients of Masla Doodh:  

 

1. Milk:

 

The main ingredient of Masla Doodh is milk. Although often criticized because of its industrialization, pure milk is rich in calcium, an essential mineral for bones and teeth. In addition, it also provides protein for muscle growth and also contains potassium which helps maintain a stable blood pressure.

 

2. The almonds:

 

Masla milk also contains almonds, which are rich in vitamin E, magnesium, protein, fiber and healthy fats. Thanks to its richness in minerals, almonds can reduce cholesterol levels, blood pressure and even blood sugar levels.

 

3. Cashew nuts:

 

Cashews are another ingredient in this special drink. They contain among others selenium, iron, magnesium, zinc, phosphorus, copper, vitamins B6, K and E. Of course, they also contain a significant amount of antioxidants.

 

4. Cardamom:

 

Cardamom is a healthy spice that is used in many home remedies. It can cure constipation, lack of appetite, heartburn, bloating, acidity and even nausea.

   

5. Saffron:  

 

Even saffron is also a therapeutic ingredient. It contains magnesium, zinc, selenium, iron, manganese, calcium, potassium and copper. It is often used as an antiseptic, antioxidant, anticonvulsant and antidepressant.

 

6. Ginger:

 

We all know that ginger is a healing ingredient, it has exceptional anti-inflammatory power. Ginger contains a substance known as gingerol, which can help treat nausea, sore throat, muscle aches and cold.

 

7. Clove:

 

Clove is a powerful anti-inflammatory, it is also an antiseptic, antioxidant and also anti-flatulence. Clove gives its aroma and particular flavor to milk.

 

8. Pepper powder:

 

Black pepper contains vitamins K, C, and minerals such as iron, potassium, manganese and also fiber. It also contains antibacterial agents that prevent infections. In addition, it also has anti-inflammatory properties.

 

Preparation of Masla Doodh:

 

Ingredients:

 

  • ½ cup of almonds

  • ½ cup cashews

  • ½ cup of pistachios

  • 20 green cardamones

  • 3/5 teaspoon of nutmeg powder

  • ½ tablespoon of dried rose petals

  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper powder

  • ½ teaspoon of saffron sprigs

  • 5 tablespoons organic cane sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of saunf

  • ½ cup pumpkin seeds

  • ¼ teaspoons of turmeric powder

 

Instructions :

 

Put a saucepan on the fire and add all the dry ingredients (pistachio almonds, cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds). Cook over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes. Then remove them from the pan and put them aside on a plate.

 

In the same saucepan, add the saffron sprigs, stir them for a minute until their color changes to a dark shade. Remove them too and set them aside. Grill the nutmegs too, then put them aside as with others.

 

Once the dried fruits cool, add all the ingredients to a grinder, including rose

petals, fennel, black pepper, turmeric powder, cardamom seeds and

sugar. Shred them all into a fine powder.

 

There you have your Masla powder which you will keep in a jar or a tightly 

closed container. Put it in a refrigerator for better preservation. To serve you,

dissolve 2 to 3 teaspoons of this powder in a glass of milk. Mix and enjoy your 

drink!
