The unknown health risks of the gel manicure!

In recent years, gel manicure has become the favorite manicure for many women. One reason is that the gel manicure lasts 2-3 times longer than a normal manicure, and allows the nails to keep their shiny finish until you remove them.

Sounds good and harmless, right? But do you know why gel manicure can last that long? This is because the nails are laid under ultraviolet (UV) light throughout the manicure process, which allows the gel to dry more quickly. So, just think of the number of times your nails have been exposed to this type of (UV) radiation.

This can cause skin cancer:

Here's the story of Lauren Ann's best friend, who regularly did gel manicures and eventually developed a skin cancer called melanoma.

Lauren Ann says "One of my best friends in the world has had gel manicures regularly, like many of us. Before his diagnosis, I had not thought too much about the dangers of UV light so close to the fingers / nails, especially with a relatively new chemical compound.

"She does not have that thumbnail anymore because thanks to GOD she was smart enough to go to a dermatologist, and he diagnosed her with a rare form of cancer and did surgery. Even though she has lost her 10th nail, she is lucky that it has not spread to the rest of her nails. "

Lauren Ann's best friend has caught skin cancer before it spreads to other places and she warns anyone who often likes gel manicure to be aware of the harmful effect of UV radiation.

Melanoma is the most common type of skin cancer in the United States. It occurs when damaged cells called melanocytes develop uncontrollably. Melanocytes contain a pigment called melanin and they darken the skin when exposed to the UV rays of nail lamps, tanning beds and the sun.

So, be extremely attentive to your exposure to UV rays, protecting your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, giving up tanning beds and opting for a safer nail care routine. This will reduce your risk of melanoma.
